Does a house have a soul?
The Stephaneum in Bad Goisern looks like a staged backdrop for a doomsday film. A perfectly arranged mess, a choreography of objects left behind, at first seemingly incoherent, but each of these objects - no matter how small and insignificant - tells its own story. A search for traces begins, movement sequences that begun in the past, ended abruptly and were never completed, are taken up again. The cycle closes and the empty building, which over the years has been transformed into a vacuum of uneventfulness and insignificance, takes on a new function.
